Sweden stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Stockholm 30 up 0.45%

Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Basic Materials and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 rose 0.45% to hit a new all time high.

The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were AstraZeneca PLC (ST: AZN ), which rose 1.68% or 26.50 points to trade at 1,603.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Electrolux AB Class B (ST: ELUXb ) added 1.58% or 1.50 points to end at 96.40 and Sandvik AB (ST: SAND ) was up 1.57% or 3.60 points to 232.60 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Samhallsbyggnadsbolaget i Norden AB (ST: SBBb ), which fell 1.46% or 0.08 points to trade at 5.25 at the close. Getinge AB ser. B (ST: GETIb ) declined 1.36% or 2.90 points to end at 209.60 and ASSA ABLOY AB ser. B (ST: ASSAb ) was down 1.23% or 4.10 points to 327.90.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 389 to 365 and 71 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.33% or 1.71 to $71.61 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.08% or 1.60 to hit $75.40 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.01% or 0.39 to trade at $2,932.99 a troy ounce.

EUR/SEK was up 0.54% to 11.31, while USD/SEK rose 0.11% to 10.87.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 107.73.
