Colombia stocks lower at close of trade; COLCAP down 0.33%

Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials , Investment and Public Services sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.33%.

The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (BVC: CCB_p ), which rose 6.60% or 700.00 points to trade at 11,300.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC: GAA_p ) added 5.07% or 28.00 points to end at 580.00 and Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ) was up 2.23% or 240.00 points to 11,000.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ), which fell 2.26% or 260.00 points to trade at 11,220.00 at the close. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana SA (BVC: CFV ) declined 2.15% or 380.00 points to end at 17,320.00 and Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC: SCA ) was down 2.04% or 1,320.00 points to 63,380.00.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.

Shares in Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC: GAA_p ) rose to 52-week highs; rising 5.07% or 28.00 to 580.00. Shares in Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ) rose to 5-year highs; rising 2.23% or 240.00 to 11,000.00.

US coffee C for March delivery was up 4.03% or 16.65 to $430.10 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 1.43% or 147.00 to hit $10,155.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.18% or 5.25 to trade at $2,927.35 a troy ounce.

USD/COP was up 0.62% to 4,167.10, while BRL/COP rose 0.77% to 723.71.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 107.89.
