Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 0.14%
Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas , Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.14% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE: HUH1V ), which rose 6.08% or 2.20 points to trade at 38.36 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE: OUT1V ) added 3.37% or 0.12 points to end at 3.53 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE: UPM ) was up 3.08% or 0.88 points to 29.42 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TietoEVRY Corp (HE: TIETO ), which fell 4.08% or 0.78 points to trade at 18.35 at the close. Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE: WRT1V ) declined 3.05% or 0.59 points to end at 18.61 and Valmet Oyj (HE: VALMT ) was down 2.65% or 0.75 points to 27.60.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 104 to 71 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 0.04% or 0.03 to $74.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 0.38% or 0.27 to hit $71.02 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 1.12% or 33.01 to trade at $2,912.39 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.32% to 1.05, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.00% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.57% at 106.60.
