Colombia stocks higher at close of trade; COLCAP up 0.35%
Investing.com – Colombia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials , Services and Agriculture sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Bancolombia SA (BVC: BIC ), which rose 2.85% or 1,240.00 points to trade at 44,780.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) added 0.98% or 300.00 points to end at 30,980.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC: BIC_p1 ) was up 0.29% or 120.00 points to 41,700.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cementos Argos SA (BVC: CCB ), which fell 2.91% or 320.00 points to trade at 10,680.00 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (BVC: ECO ) declined 1.97% or 40.00 points to end at 1,990.00 and Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC: CNE ) was down 1.96% or 220.00 points to 11,000.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Bancolombia SA (BVC: BIC ) rose to 52-week highs; up 2.85% or 1,240.00 to 44,780.00. Shares in Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC: SIS_p ) rose to 5-year highs; up 0.98% or 300.00 to 30,980.00.
US coffee C for March delivery was up 0.37% or 1.60 to $433.40 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in May rose 3.89% or 394.00 to hit $10,525.00 , while the April Gold Futures contract rose 0.97% or 28.49 to trade at $2,957.19 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.67% to 4,139.38, while BRL/COP fell 0.82% to 717.96.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.76% at 107.00.
