Finland stocks higher at close of trade; OMX Helsinki 25 up 0.57%
Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials , Consumer Services and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.57% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Kemira Oyj (HE: KEMIRA ), which rose 3.19% or 0.64 points to trade at 20.68 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE: UPM ) added 2.66% or 0.72 points to end at 27.82 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE: STERV ) was up 2.46% or 0.24 points to 9.99 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE: CGCBV ), which fell 5.85% or 2.96 points to trade at 47.68 at the close. Kojamo (HE: KOJAMO ) declined 5.17% or 0.52 points to end at 9.45 and Kalmar Oyj (HE: KALMAR ) was down 2.59% or 0.89 points to 33.53.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 93 to 79 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 2.05% or 1.58 to $75.42 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 2.37% or 1.74 to hit $71.58 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 1.34 to trade at $2,931.26 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.41% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 107.71.
