Italy stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com Italy 40 down 0.15%
Investing.com – Italy stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals , Utilities and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Milan, the Investing.com Italy 40 lost 0.15%.
The best performers of the session on the Investing.com Italy 40 were Nexi SpA (BIT: NEXII ), which rose 3.80% or 0.17 points to trade at 4.56 at the close. Meanwhile, Banca Popolare di Sondrio ScpA (BIT: BPSI ) added 2.11% or 0.20 points to end at 9.66 and Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ) was up 1.36% or 0.20 points to 14.87 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Hera (BIT: HRA ), which fell 1.95% or 0.07 points to trade at 3.52 at the close. A2A SpA (BIT: A2 ) declined 1.50% or 0.03 points to end at 2.23 and Banca Monte dei Paschi di Siena SpA (BIT: BMPS ) was down 1.34% or 0.09 points to 6.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Milan Stock Exchange by 304 to 247 and 41 ended unchanged.
Shares in Iveco Group NV (BIT: IVG ) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.36% or 0.20 to 14.87.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.20% or 1.61 to $71.71 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 1.94% or 1.49 to hit $75.51 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.02% or 0.46 to trade at $2,932.14 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.35% to 1.04, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.32% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 107.78.
