Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 0.43%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.43%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Tomra Systems ASA (OL: TOM ), which rose 12.80% or 21.60 points to trade at 190.40 at the close. Meanwhile, SalMar ASA (OL: SALM ) added 3.45% or 20.00 points to end at 599.50 and TGS NOPEC Geophysical Company ASA (OL: TGS ) was up 3.23% or 3.60 points to 115.00 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL: HAUTO ), which fell 9.36% or 9.80 points to trade at 94.90 at the close. Hafnia Ltd (OL: HAFNI ) declined 2.77% or 1.65 points to end at 57.85 and Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) was down 1.38% or 0.92 points to 65.82.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 144 to 138 and 20 ended unchanged.

Shares in Tomra Systems ASA (OL: TOM ) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 12.80% or 21.60 to 190.40.

Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.25% or 0.18 to $71.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.01% or 0.01 to hit $75.03 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.96% or 28.24 to trade at $2,917.16 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.17% to 11.67, while USD/NOK fell 0.39% to 11.11.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 106.51.
