Morocco stocks lower at close of trade; Moroccan All Shares down 0.46%
Investing.com – Morocco stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Utilities , Transport and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.46%.
The best performers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CSE: IBC ), which rose 9.72% or 3.50 points to trade at 39.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Taqa Morocco SA (CSE: TQM ) added 6.05% or 89.00 points to end at 1,559.00 and Sanlam Maroc SA (CSE: SAH ) was up 6.00% or 108.00 points to 1,908.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE: EQD ), which fell 14.27% or 174.00 points to trade at 1,045.00 at the close. Salafin (CSE: SLF ) declined 7.76% or 46.50 points to end at 552.50 and Med Paper (CSE: MDP ) was down 4.07% or 0.95 points to 22.40.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Casablanca Stock Exchange by 35 to 20 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Societe Equipement Domestique et Menager SA (CSE: EQD ) fell to 52-week lows; losing 14.27% or 174.00 to 1,045.00.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.86% or 0.62 to $72.94 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.91% or 0.69 to hit $76.56 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.23% or 6.69 to trade at $2,927.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.09% to 10.36, while USD/MAD fell 0.10% to 10.03.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.15% at 108.03.
