Turkey stocks higher at close of trade; BIST 100 up 0.38%
Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Leasing & Factoring , Wholesale & Retail Trade and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.38%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS: SMRTG ), which rose 5.65% or 2.30 points to trade at 42.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Bera Holding AS (IS: BERA ) added 5.32% or 0.85 points to end at 16.82 and Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS: CLEBI ) was up 4.63% or 93.00 points to 2,100.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS: TOASO ), which fell 3.84% or 8.00 points to trade at 200.30 at the close. Akfen Yenilenebilir Enerji AS (IS: AKFYE ) declined 2.75% or 0.49 points to end at 17.30 and Astor Enerji AS (IS: ASTOR ) was down 2.70% or 3.20 points to 115.50.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 322 to 242 and 22 ended unchanged.
Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.27% or 8.00 to $2,926.40 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 0.93% or 0.67 to hit $72.99 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.04% or 0.79 to trade at $76.66 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.15% to 36.05, while EUR/TRY rose 0.55% to 37.30.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.16% at 108.01.
