Greece stocks lower at close of trade; Athens General Composite down 0.19%

Investing.com – Greece stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms , Household and Basic Resources sectors led shares lower.

At the close in Athens, the Athens General Composite declined 0.19%.

The best performers of the session on the Athens General Composite were Ekter (AT: EKTr ), which rose 4.77% or 0.10 points to trade at 2.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Cars Motorcycles and Marine Engine Trade and Import Company SA (AT: MTDr ) added 4.07% or 0.11 points to end at 2.81 and Motor Oil Hellas Corinth Refineries SA (AT: MORr ) was up 2.58% or 0.54 points to 21.48 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Titan Cement International SA (AT: TITCr ), which fell 4.11% or 1.85 points to trade at 43.15 at the close. Alumil (AT: ALMr ) declined 2.15% or 0.09 points to end at 4.10 and Coca Cola HBC AG (AT: EEEr ) was down 1.47% or 0.53 points to 35.57.

Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Athens Stock Exchange by 65 to 60 and 17 ended unchanged.

Gold Futures for April delivery was down 0.04% or 1.14 to $2,933.26 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 1.01% or 0.73 to hit $73.05 a barrel, while the April Brent oil contract rose 1.09% or 0.83 to trade at $76.70 a barrel.

EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.03, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.83.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 107.99.
