Norway stocks higher at close of trade; Oslo OBX up 1.30%

Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Healthcare Equipment & Services , Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences and Utilities sectors led shares higher.

At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.30%.

The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Var Energi ASA (OL: VAR ), which rose 6.06% or 2.11 points to trade at 36.91 at the close. Meanwhile, Equinor ASA (OL: EQNR ) added 3.30% or 9.00 points to end at 281.50 and Hoegh Autoliners ASA (OL: HAUTO ) was up 3.15% or 3.20 points to 104.80 in late trade.

The worst performers of the session were Nel ASA (OL: NEL ), which fell 5.04% or 0.12 points to trade at 2.22 at the close. Norsk Hydro ASA (OL: NHY ) declined 2.26% or 1.52 points to end at 65.68 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL: NAS ) was down 0.68% or 0.08 points to 11.00.

Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 143 to 123 and 33 ended unchanged.

Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.98% or 0.71 to $73.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 1.08% or 0.82 to hit $76.69 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 1.31 to trade at $2,933.09 a troy ounce.

EUR/NOK was up 0.37% to 11.60, while USD/NOK unchanged 0.04% to 11.22.

The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.19% at 107.99.
