Boeing sees highest monthly plane deliveries since 2023

Investing.com -- Boeing (NYSE: BA ) reported on Tuesday that it had delivered 45 airplanes in January, marking an increase from the 30 deliveries made in the previous month. This is the highest number of monthly deliveries for the U.S. aircraft manufacturer since 2023.

The January deliveries comprised 40 units of the 737 MAX aircraft. This shows a significant rise from the 25 units delivered in the same month the previous year. A mid-air mishap involving a nearly new Alaska Air (NYSE: ALK ) 737 MAX 9 had grounded the model last year, leading to federal regulators scrutinizing Boeing.

The past month marked Boeing's busiest January for deliveries since 2019. It was also the first full month of production for the company following a seven-week strike in the fall that had significantly disrupted their commercial airplane production.

So far this year, shares of Boeing have seen a 2% increase.
